How easy do you think it will be to reduce CO2 emissions from your home?

Mostly negative

Which of the following ideas would you like to see in your home?

• Solar panels

What do you think the main obstacles and opportunities are?

Many of the flat blocks on Camden Council's estates, including the one we live in, have roofs that could support large numbers of solar panels. We have advocated this during two rounds of estate renovation works in 2006 and 2010 to no effect. Meanwhile, a nearby Peabody Trust estate has installed solar panels. Take a look at Nottingham Council's programme.

Total ban on paving front gardens. for its impact on water drainage and reducing green areas.

What do you think the main obstacles and opportunities are?

Planning regulations which have to be eased in order to allow for solar panels in conservation areas. Time for change, in 11 years time Conservation areas will be totally irrelevant. This is a real emergency and must be treated as such. From 2006, authorities were able to insist that houses were built to the highest energy standards, but this regulation was scrapped in 2015. This must be lobbied for change, a total disconnect to the crisis.
